Roufusport Kickboxing is a modern striking art developed by world renowned striking coach Duke Roufus. Based on the best training methods and techniques of the world’s strongest striking arts, such as Muay Thai Kickboxing, Western Boxing, Kyokushin Karate, Taekwondo, and Dutch style Kickboxing; Roufusport is a “state of the art” striking system. Founder Duke Roufus is a world renowned trainer, former four time kickboxing world champion, and has trained numerous world champions. Fighters such as former UFC Featherweight Champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis, former Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, as well as many other highly respected veteran fighters, such as Alan “The Talent” Belcher, Jens Pulver, Erik Koch, Sergio Pettis, and Stephan Bonar.

One of the key tenants of Roufusport striking is a heavy emphasis on skill building through partner drills, equipment training, and a safer approach to sparring. Duke’s philosophy is based on his personal experience in championship level training. He says, “Before I actually knew how to train properly, I was always hurt. I really want to help students and athletes avoid the pitfalls of injuries and things of that nature. Once I learned how to train safely I had much more success, and that is my ambition with Roufusport. ” It is Duke’s belief that, through innovations he’s introduced into training, regular students and combat athletes alike can train intelligently, and intensely, without a lot of the injuries and damage to their bodies that is unfortunately commonplace in many MMA and kickboxing programs.
